Blaskowski, Edward John (20 July 1930 - 18 April 1972)
Funeral services for Edward John Blaskowski, age 41, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, who
died April 18 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, are to be held this
(Thursday) morning at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles
D. Brady will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. A
general rosary service was to be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral
Home, where the body of Mr. Blaskowski was in state.
Edward Blaskowski, the son of Catherine (Kapinos) Blaskowski of Rt. 2
Neillsville, and the late John Blaskowski, Sr., was born July 20, 1930 in
Chicago, Il, and was educated there. He did factory work before entering the
Marine Corps on October 26, 1951 and was honorably discharged from the service
as a sergeant on October 7, 1953, in California. He came to Clark County in
1969.
Mr. Blaskowski, who had been employed at the Holiday Station in Neillsville, was
a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He entered the hospital for heart
surgery, which was scheduled for April 19.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three sisters, Mrs. Andrew
(Jennie) Ratulowski of Chicago, Mrs. James (Theresa) Long of Pocahontas, Il, and
Mrs. Jack (Joan) Counsell of Neillsville; and five brothers: Raymond Blaskowski
of Chicago, John Blaskowski of Neillsville, Stanley Blaskowski of Marshfield,
Theodore Blaskowski of Milwaukee and Frederick Blaskowski of Granton.
