Walter, George (19 Mar 1884 - 15 Mar 1968)
Services were held for George Walter, 83, Monday, March 18, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Norbert King officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Mr. Walter died at 9 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, of a heart attack.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the Arrangements.
Pallbearers were all nephews, Franklin Walter, Tony Walter, Jr., Joe Walter, Eugene Walter and George Schecklman.
He was born March 19, 1884 in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 5 years with jis parents and settled in the Town of York. In 1914 he started farming in the Town of Loyal where he resided until his death. June 13, 1916 he married Frances Schecklman atSt. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Mr. Walter was a of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Albert and Roman of Loyal; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Isabel) Vollmart and Mrs. Benedict (Florence) Stublaski, Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Tony and Louis, Loyal; one sister, Miss Ann Walter, Tampa, Florida; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
