Mrs. Edw. Komis went to Marshfield yesterday for a short stay.
Mrs. Ohenberger and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Raugh and children of Stratford spent
Sunday here at the Jacob Becker home.
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Francis and daughter Pearl left for Cottage Grove, Ore.
yesterday, where they will make their future home.
Dance at Henry Gemmeke's Saturday evening, Oct. 2nd. Everybody welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Schwarze and two children are visiting relatives and friends
at Fairchild and Stratford.
The Kings Daughers will meet with Mrs. L.E. Howe, Wednesday p.m., Oct. 6th.
Everyone go that can.
Elmer Haglund arrived here from St. Paul Monday for a visit with relatives and
friends.
Miss Lillian Speich left for Milwaukee Monday for a short visit. From Milwaukee
she will go to Washington, D.C., where she will attend college.
Mrs. Lloyd Heber and son of Unity were over Sunday visitors here at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Johnson.
The Ladies Aid Society will have their annual chicken pie supper and sale at the
home of Mrs. Joe Christie. The Greenwood House, on Saturday evening, Oct 2nd
from five until all are served. Chicken pie, mashed potatoes, fried carrots,
salad, rolls, pickles, jello, cake and coffee, all for 50 cents.
Mrs. T. Fahey went to Eau Claire Tuesday to bring her mother, Mrs. Frank Zetsche,
home with her. Mrs. Zetsche has been at the hospital at Eau Claire for some
time.
Peter Scherr visited his mother at Durand, Wis. last week.
Mrs. R.G. Williams and two children, Mrs. Sanford, Miss Williams and Mrs.
Wheelham, all of Necedah, spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of mr. and Mrs.
J.T. Drummond.
Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Barber and daughter Mildred of Marathon City visited at the
home of W.J. Schwarze and family last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Wilson of Rhinelander, Wis. spent the latter part of last week
at the Geo. W. Bishop home.
Mrs. F. Pfunder will leave the latter part of the week for Minneapolis where she
will spend the winter with her son and family.
Five forty's of the Krueger farm were sold at sheriff's sale to meet the
judgment given to Emil Lanio, awarded at his suit for damages for injuries
received during the battle at the Krueger farm. E.W. Crosby bought three forty's
and Jorgen Larson bought two, the five selling for $5,850. Mrs. Krueger was
present at the sale.
