Mr. and Mrs. James White and children visited Sunday at the Olaf Raspusson home
at Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Hendry Knoll Sr. visited at the Milton Hawley home Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Esselman, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Esselman visited at the Lewis
and Herman Esselman home at Athens Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hawley and children spent Monday evening at the Milton Hawley
Misses Eunita and Elna White spent Sunday p.m. visiting their cousins Ila and
Lola Mae Swieso.
The Larkin party met at the C.H. Esselman home Thursday. An enjoyable evening
was spent playing 500. High honors were won by Miss Hilda Stutte and Alex Loos.
Consolation went to Mrs. Max Langfeldt and Franklin Rueth, after which a
generous lunch was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hawley entertained several couples at their home Thursday in
honor of Ed Keyes birthday. A pleasant evening was spent playing Sheephead and
dancing, after which the hostess served a delicious lunch.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bahn and children visited Sunday at the Leonard home east of
Loyal.
Miss Barton and pupils are preparing a Halloween program to be given at the Lyon
School Friday evening. Plate lunch and homemade candy will be sold. Everybody is
welcome.
Paul Garvetter and family visited Mrs. Garvetter at the Marshfield Hospital Sund
and report she is getting along nicely and will be home soon.
Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Schultz entertained company from Marshfield Sunday.
Irvin and Earl Schultz were business callers at Wausau Monday.
Many from this way attended the church dinner served at the new Catholic church,
Loyal, Sunday.
Mrs. Paul Garvetter returned from the Marshfield Hospital Wednesday very much
improved, after an operation for appendicitis.
Carol Swieso spent from Friday until Monday at the Herb White home.
A very large crowd attended the Halloween program at the Lyon School Friday
evening. The program was well rendered and enjoyed by all, also the songs
between sets by Kenneth Rogers, accompanied by Art Rohde and banjo music. The
remainder of the evening was spent playing cards. High honors were won by Miss
Mae Becker and Walter Swieso. Consolation went to Mrs. W. Swieso and James
White, after which plate lunches were served. Proceeds - $15.00.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schultz and children and Irvin Schultz are spending some time
at the F.F. Schultz home.
Joe Becker Jr. of Oshkosh is visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Becker Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schultz and children visited Sunday at the Milton Hawley home.
