Walter, Frank S. (10 MAR 1918 - 13 MAY 2014)
Frank S. Walter, 96, Chippewa Falls, formerly of Greenwood, passed away on
Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls. No
services will be held. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery,
Greenwood, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 31.
Frank Steven Walter was born in Greenwood on March 10, 1918, a son of Mabel (nee
La Tart) and Joseph Walter. He was raised on the family farm and received his
education at La Tart Public School and St. Mary's Parochial School in Greenwood.
He farmed his entire life with his father on the family farm, in the town of
Beaver, northeast of Greenwood. After retiring, Frank resided in Neillsville and
then later moved to Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls. He was a
member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville.
Frank is survived by one sister, Virginia M. Nyysti, Chippewa Falls; and nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Walter; and two
sisters, Viola Brumbaugh and Dolores Bukosky.
