Knight, Connie S. (6 JUN 1976 - 26 MAY 2014)

Connie S. Knight, 37, Plover, formerly of Greenwood, passed away at her parents' home on Monday, May 26, 2014, while in the loving company of family members. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, May 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Perry Lindner, Gary Lindner, Tom Nigl, Spencer Mashak, Kurt Blanchette and Tony Stakston. Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 4-8 p.m., on Wednesday, May 28, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and again at the church on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Connie Sue Lindner was born in Marshfield, on June 6, 1976, a daughter of Shirley (nee Weyer) and Art Lindner. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1994. Connie then attended UW-La Crosse, where she double-majored in microbiology and biology, graduating in 1999. After completing her college education, she worked for Cargill in Eddyville, Iowa, and then transferred to Sidney, Ohio. In 2004, Connie moved to Beloit and was employed by Kerry, later transferring to their Vesper plant, where she was the plant manager. She had many interests including being outdoors, growing and tending to her flowers, golfing, skiing, and throwing horseshoes. She especially loved her family and her career. Connie had a fierce spirit and a loving heart that will be dearly missed by all.

Connie is survived by her parents, Art and Shirley Lindner, Greenwood; two sisters, Penny (Tom) Nigl, Omro, and Sally (Spencer) Mashak, La Crosse; two brothers, Perry (Vickie) Lindner, Custer, and Gary "Fred" (Brenda) Lindner, Loyal; her nieces and nephews, Kristen, Kayla, Kyra, Jon, Carrie, Molly, John, Levi, Tysen and Ross; her best friend, Laurie Gerbers, Plover; and many other relatives and friends.
