Miss Rita Jean Stumpner and Milton F. Pachal, Wausau exchanged wedding vows
Saturday, August 17, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The Very Rev.
Norbert E. King officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stumpner and Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Pachal, both of route 1, Loyal.
Michael Tucker played the organ.
The bride given in marriage by her father was seen in a silk linen appliqued
with Venice lace pearl studded gown, with elbow length sleeves and a detached
chapel train. Her matching silk linen pillbox held her bouffant veil. She
carried a cascade of yellow roses and yellow and white daisies, accented with
green ivy.
Mrs. George Stumpner, Loyal was the matron of honor and Mrs. William English,
Syracuse, New York was the bridesmatron.
They each wore linen floor length coat ensemble. The gowns were of summer maize
and sleeveless. The empire waistline was banded with Venice lace and the same
lace formed a panel on the coat in back. An open pillbox held their bustle
veils. They each carried a spray of white daisies and moss velvet ribbon.
Charles Stumpner, Loyal, served as best man and William English, Syracuse, New
York, as groomsman.
Harold Drescher and George Stumpner ushered the guests.
The reception supper and dance all took place at the Eagles Club in Marshfield.
The bride is a 1961 graduate of Loyal High School and a 1965 graduate of the
Wisconsin State University - Stevens Point. She is employed by the Wausau Public
Schools. Her husband is a 1960 graduate of Loyal High School and is a plumber
apprentice at Central Plumbing and Heating, Inc., Wausau.
After the wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple will make their home on
route 4, Wausau.
