Large white mums and pink carnations were on the altar of St. Stanislaus Church,
Lublin for the marriage of Antoinette Jean Minichowicz and Louis Frank
Kobylarczyk on Saturday, Oct. 15th, 1966. Father Edward Cyz performed the
ceremony and High Mass at ten a.m. Mrs. Shirley Pawelko sang "On This Day Oh
Beautiful Mother" and St. Bernard's Choir also sang.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Anton Minichowicz, Lublin and Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Kobylarczyk, Thorp.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of
Chantilly lace fashioned with scalloped Sabrina neckline adorned with sequins
and tiny seed pearls. Her fingertip veil was secured to a crown of crystal and
she carried white orchids.
Mrs. William Popp, friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids
were: Miss Theresa Lococo, friend of the bride, Mrs. Martha Sorenson, sister of
the groom, and Miss Barbara Halida, friend of the bride. They wore floor length
gowns of peau taffeta in candy pink and featured semi-bouffant skirts accented
by contrasting back panels. They carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.
Flower girl was Donna Sorenson, niece of the groom, and ring bearer was Roger
Kobylarczyk, nephew of the groom.
Leon Minichowicz, brother of the bride, was best man, and groomsmen were Harold
Sorenson and James Minichowicz. Ushers were Raymond Kobylarczyk and Joseph
Pawlak.
A dinner and reception for 550 guests was held at St. Hedwig's Parish Hall,
Thorp. The Polka Masters played for the dance in the evening.
The bride attended Lublin State Grade and Gilman High School. The couple will
make their home on rural Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where the groom is a cattle
buyer.
Special guests attending the wedding were Mrs. Betty Grozdano, Chicago, aunt of
the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Losbowski, Chicago, godfather of the bride, Leon
Kobylarczyk, brother of the groom, from Chicago, and Miss Pauline Kobylarczyk,
Chicago, sister of the groom.
