------ Hess, Margaret Ann (24 JUL 1965)

The exchange of marriage vows between Miss Margaret Ann Hess and Victor A. Biechler Jr. took place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church at Marshfield.  The church was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and blue carnations adorning the alter as the girls choir sang the nuptial high mass and the Very Rev. L. H. Timmerman officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday, July 24.

Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Hess of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Victor A Biechler Sr. of Marshfield are the parents of the couple.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, entered the church wearing a floor-length gown featuring a scalloped Sabrina neckline on the basque bodice of Chantilly lace over taffeta.  The bouffant skirt of silk organza had a cut-away effect in front revealing a tier of lace at the hemline.  The back was completed by a removable double Watteau train of organza edged with lace and attached at the neckline.

A forehead piece of lace and pearl and aurora borealis crystal trim held her bouffant illusion veil.  She carried a cascade arrangement of white roses and read tea roses.

Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Ralph Jensen of St. Louis, Mo., and Miss Mary Ann Ewald of Unity was the bridesmaid.  Ralph Jensen, St. Louis, Mo., was the best man, and Thomas Hess, Colby, was the groomsman.

The bridal aides wore powder blue floor-length formals of crepe Chiara with bateau necklines, featuring fitted midriffs and sheath-style skirts accented in back by removable lace Watteau panels and bows.  Their matching looped headpieces with pearl and crystal trim held pouf veils.

Wedding guests were seated by Patrick Johnson and James Wein and came from Milwaukee, Tomahawk, Madison, Marshfield, Strum, Unity, Abbotsford, Colby, Medford, Grand Rapids and Detroit, Mich., St. Louis, Mo., and Massillon, Ohio.

A lawn reception with buffet was held at the home of the bride’s parents.  The newlyweds have left for Denver, Colo., and then will tour the western states.

The new Mrs. Biechler was graduated from Colby high school in 1964 and graduated from the Eau Claire School of Cosmetology this year.  Her husband is a 1961 graduate of Colby high school and is a shipping clerk for Packaging Corporation of America, Colby.

The newlyweds will reside on St. Joseph Ave., Marshfield.
