Greenwood (6 July 1972)

The young adults of Immanuel United Church of Christ met Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Richmond. They studied the introduction to the Bible. Tentative plans were made for a family picnic to be held at Rock Dam Sunday, July 23. The next regular meeting will be held in August.

Blaine Liebzeit, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Liebzeit, is a patient at the hospital in Marshfield where he underwent surgery.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson and Miss Louise Keiner returned Monday evening after visiting at the home of the Seversons’ son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kaisler, in Waukesha and with other relatives in Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Metcalf and granddaughters, Gina and Kelly and Brenda Sennett of Milwaukee, spent Sunday evening at the Lewis Kaudy home.

Recent guests at the Fred Clintsman home were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson and Mrs. Willis Hohlman and daughters, Lind, Lisa and Becky of Watertown.

Guests Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kaudy were Kenneth Metcalf of York and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaudy of Stetsonville.

Mrs. Gilbert Reinke of Neenah spent several days with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Caliebe and family. Mrs. Caliebe took her back and spent the weekend in Neenah with relatives.

Mrs. Bert Sohlberg came Monday from Dundee, Il, for a visit at the home of her brothers, Alvin and John Kaltinger, and their families.

Mr. and mrs. Wilbur Stewart attended the funeral of Albert Jensen Monday afternoon in Withee.

Robert Caliebe returned Sunday to Madison, where he attends the university, after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caliebe.

Guests Sunday at the Fred Clintsman home were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson of Curtiss and Becky Hohlman of Watertown; also Miss Nellie Sharp of Glenwood City, who came for an extended visit with her sister, Mrs. Clintsman.

The Women’s Guild will meet in Zion United Church today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. Hostesses will be Mrs. Adolph Abel and Mrs. Laura Hatton. The program will be in charge of Mrs. Hugh Severson.

The Women’s Guild of Immanuel Unite Church will not meet in July.
