Deutschlander, Rudolph (31 APR 1885 - 6 NOV 1966)
Rudolph (Landers) Deutschlander, 81, passed away at Seattle Wash., Nov. 6, 1966.
Mr. Deutschlander was born April 30, 1885, at Shamokin, Penn. In 1893 he came to
the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area, residing 3 miles north of Thorp. He lived and
went to school in the Thorp area. When still at a very young age, he decided to
so adventuring and traveled over much of the United States, then settling in
Seattle, and with a partner went into the real estate business that he operated
for many years. About 25 years ago he retired and spent much time with his
relatives and friends in Minnesota, New York, Wisconsin and California.
Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Nov. 9th,
1966, at two p.m. rev. Robert Olson officiated and burial was made in the East
Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Emil, Ed and Henry Deutschlander, Leon Kudingo,
Leslie and Roger Deutschlander.
He is survived by one brother, John Deutschlander of Thorp. He was preceded in
death by his parents, one brother, Julius, in 1959, and two sisters, Wanda and
Natalie.
