Persok, Anna (24 NOV 1897 - 22 NOV 1966)

Anna Persok, 68, of Gilman passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, 1966 at Stanley Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, Saturday, Nov. 26. Father Peter Szleszinski officiated at the ten a.m. service and burial was in the Meadowbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Francis Wetzel, John Kapsy, Robert Kapsy, Edward Ciok, bill Kolosa and Daniel Slupski.

Anna Filipowicz was born Nov. 24, 1897 in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). She was united in marriage at Gilman Oct. 24, 1916 to Stanley Persok, who preceded her in death. She lived in the village of Gilman from about 1914 until 1935, when they moved to a farm west of Gilman, and back to the village in 1959.

Surviving are one son, Raymond Persok of Gilman; two daughters, (Agnes) Mrs. F. Wetzel, Milwaukee, (Margaret) Mrs. Stanley Harycki, Thorp; two brothers, Walter and Tony Filipowicz; four sisters, (Harriet) Mrs. P. Lukas, Thorp, (Helen) Mrs. W. Heyke, Chicago, (Julia) Mrs. Ilavich, (Victoria) Mrs. Adams; five grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley, and three sisters, Frances, Mary and Stella.
