Miss Roxey Ann Frese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frese of Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), and Larry McAllister, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McAllister of Louisville,
Ky. Were married at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19th, 1966 by Rev. J.J. Haynes of
Pastor of Our Lady of Humility Church in Zion, Ill. Mr. Frese presented his
daughter in marriage.
The floor length bridal gown of silk organza over taffeta. Bodice fashioned
square neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Semi-bouffant skirt sweeping
back fullness and chapel length train. The headpiece was a circle crown with
pearls, with an imported veil.
The maid of honor was Lorraine Frese, and bridesmaid, Maxine Frese, sisters of
the bride. They were dressed in floor length gowns of ice pink brocade. Bodice
fashioned with oval neckline and elbow length sleeves. Empire line skirt with
floating panel in back for aisle interest. Headpieces of matching color and
fabric loops with butterfly veils. Their pearl necklaces were gifts of the
bride.
Clifford Russell of Great Lakes Naval Center was best man. Acting as groomsman
was Robert Coty of Waukegan, and the ushers were the bride's brothers, Roger and
Gerald Frese of Thorp.
The wedding reception was held at Nickes Restaurant in North Chicago. Present
were guests from Thorp, Waukegan, North Chicago, Zion and Chicago, Ill.
The bride graduated from the Thorp High School and Langlade County Teachers
College and at present they are both employed at Abbott's Laboratories in North
Chicago.
After their marriage the couple took a trip to Kentucky, then on to Wisconsin.
