Tomczak, John (22 JUL 1910 - 12 DEC 1966)
Funeral services were held at St. Mary's P.N.C., Lublin on Saturday Dec. 17th.
Father Mathew Bub officiated at the ten a.m. service and burial was in the
parish cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Richard Losiewicz,
Ten Fiermanek, Louis Tomczak, John Gordon, Robert Behrendt and George Tomczak.
Mr. Tomczak was born July 22, 1910 at Thorp (Clark co., Wis.). He married Julia
Gasior at St. Hedwig's Church in Chicago on Nov. 9, 1929. He farmed all his life
in rural Thorp and the past 12 years also worked at the Stanley Corp.
Surviving are his wife Julia, two sons, Stephen of Chicago, Donald in the
service, stationed at Ft. Polk, La., one daughter (Florence) Mrs. Ted Waszak of
Chicago, two grandchildren, three brothers, Walter of Detroit, Mich., Stanley of
Chicago, Casmir of Thorp, two sisters, Pearl Fiermanek of Gilman and Wanda
Losiewicz of Thorp.
