Delis, Ruby S. (7 JAN 1909 - 23 DEC 1966)

Ruby Sarah Delis, 57, passed away of complications Friday morning, Dec. 23rd, 1966.

Ruby Piper was born Jan. 7, 1909, at Manilla, Iowa. On Aug. 19, 1925 she was united in marriage to Walter F. Delis at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). They lived in the Thorp and Curtiss areas until six years ago, when they moved to Marshfield.

Funeral services were held at Thorp Monday, Dec. 27th at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Roy Scott officiating. Burial was in East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Joe Powalish, Alfred Boushon, Allen Powalish, Calvin Krause Jr., Steven Delis and Jeffery Delis.

Surviving are her husband Walter; six sons, Carl of Marshfield, Robert of Greenwood, Arthur of Azusa, Calif., Donald and Walter Jr. of Marshfield, Richard, in the service; three daughters, (Eleanor) Mrs. Joseph Powalish of Palatine, Ill., (Louise) Mrs. Calvin Krause of Curtiss, (Yvonne) Mrs. Alfred Boushon of Marshfield; 24 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Garbarski of Chicago.

One son, one daughter and one brother, Ernest Piper, preceded her in death.
