Mrs. Carl Huebner, Chippewa Falls, a former Colby resident, died Dec. 30 at a Chippewa Falls hospital. She was 89 years old. Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Chippewa Falls and burial was in the Colby memorial cemetery.
Mrs. Huebner was born Sept. 15, 1876, in Germany, coming to the United States with her parents when she was six years old. The family settled in Sheboygan, where she was married July 28, 1896, to Fred C. Gosse, who died in 1921. From 1901 to 1910 they lived at Centerville, moving to rural Colby in 1921. Her marriage to Carl Huebner, who survives, took place Oct. 18, 1923, at Colby. They had lived in Chippewa Falls since 1926.
Surviving in
addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Milda) Ortmeier,
Abbotsford, and Mrs. Richard (Nora) Neuhaus of Genoa City; six grand children;
10 great grand children and four great great grand children. She was preceded
in death by two daughters, four sisters and two brothers.
