Vickie Mallory, 59, of Neillsville, Died Sunday, June, 2014, at her home.
Vickie Mallory was born July 10, 1954, in Neillsville, the daughter of Laurin
and Verna (Stricker) Mallory. She attended and graduated from Neillsville High
School in 1972 and then began working at the Memorial Nursing Home, now known as
the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center. Vickie worked there for 41
years, starting as a nurse’s aide and working her way up to unit clerk until her
health forced her to retire a few months ago.
Vickie loved animals, especially dogs, and often volunteered at the Clark County
Humane Society. In her spare time, Vickie enjoyed traveling and shopping,
collecting Tweety birds and bowling. She was a longtime member of the Women’s
Bowling League in Neillsville.
She is survived by four siblings, Sue (Pete) Ewing of Neillsville, Roger
(Patricia) Mallory of Neillsville, Chris Mallory of Granton, and Joan Mallory of
Neillsville. She is also survived by an aunt, Theresa Mallory, of Granton, and
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two uncles and three nieces.
Funeral services for Vickie will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at
the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate.
Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10
a.m. top 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Gesche Funeral Home.
Casketbearers are: Dennis Ewing, Bradley Ewing, Michael Ewing, Allen Mallory,
Jason Mallory and Christopher Mallory.
