Myhre, Ivar C. (22 JAN 1894 - 10 JAN 1967)
Ivar C. Myhre, 72, Rt. 3, Stanley, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1967 in Victory
Memorial Hospital. He moved to Amery with his parents when he was 5. He was
graduated from the Amery High School and farmed and worked on the railroad in
that area until World War I, when he served witht eh Marines. After returning
from service, he farmed at Amery for five years, then moved to the Town of
Worden, Clark County, where he has since resided. His marriage to Alga Elton
took place at Stillwater, Minn., June 26, 1923.
Mr. Myhre was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post, Stanley.
Surviving are his wife, Olga; one son, Donald at State College, Miss.; one
daughter, Mrs. Martin Fhegel, Madison; a brother, Julius, Turtle Lake; three
sisters, Mrs. Helen Jones, Seattle; Mrs. Alfred Bjorklund, Minneapolis, and Mrs.
Arthur Wolfran, Owen; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church,
Stanley, with Rev. Carl Peters officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Ceemtery.
