Funeral services for Ray August Denzin, 47, route 1, Abbotsford, were held Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran church, Milan. The Rev. Ferdinand Timler officiated, and burial was in the Milan cemetery. Mr. Denzin died Friday, Jan 28, at the Memorial hospital, Medford, where he had been a patient for the past five days. Maurina funeral home, Dorchester, attended to the funeral arrangements.
Ray Denzin was born June 26, 1918 in the town of Holton, where he received his education. His marriage to Rudy Venzke took place Oct. 25, 1941, at Milan. He then took over his father’s farm, where he had lived his entire life. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church.
Survivors
include his wife; two sons, Roger, St. Louis, Mo., and Robert, Atlanta, Ga.; two
daughters, Hein and Debra, at home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Denzin,
Tomahawk; one brother, Alvin Denzin; four sisters, Mrs. William (Viola) Curre,
Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Piech, and Mrs. Algy (Dora) Poderski, all of Chicago, and
Mrs. Joseph (Arlene) Schrettler, Tomahawk; a half-brother, Arno Denzin,
Minneapolis, and a half-sister, Elsie, Rochester, Minn.
