Mrs. Emma Roder’s 99^th birthday anniversary, which occurred Feb. 9, was an occasion to be remembered by members of her family and many friends.

Among the numerous greetings received by Mrs. Roder were congratulations from the President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, the governor of the state of Wisconsin, Warren P. Knowles, and Congressman Melvin Laird.

Her son, Harlo Roder, of Racine talked to her by telephone and her daughter, Mrs. Grant Pope, of Stetsonville came for the afternoon.  Her other daughter, Mrs. Fred Timm, rural Colby, with whom Mrs. Roder makes her home, had the birthday cake and other preparations well in hand.

Afternoon callers were Mrs. Ida Parge and her son, Otto Parge, and daughter, Mrs. Alma Bedroske, of Abbotsford, and Mrs. William Tischendorf of Stetsonville.

On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Chester Roder and Mrs. L. Rolland, Marshfield, visited her.  Mrs. Rolland is her sister-in-law.

Mrs. Roder enjoyed every part of the observance and wishes to thank all who sent cards and gifts and extended birthday wishes over the telephone or remembered the occasion in any way.
