Boh, Karen Marie (Marriage - 15 July 1972)
Bouquets of garden flowers decorated the church as Miss Karen Marie Boh, a
teacher in the Marshfield school system, and Dale Edward Brux, a Pittsville area
schools faculty member, were married Saturday in Willard. The Rev. Michael
Mertens performed the 1 p.m. double-ring ceremony at Holy Family Catholic
Church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sylvia Boh of Willard and the late Dan
Boh. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux of Greenwood are the groom’s parents.
Presented in marriage by her mother and an uncle, Darwin Kokaly, the bride wore
an empire-style gown of imported organza fashioned with cavalier-shaped sleeves
and a high neckline. Venice lace embellished the bride’s bodice of the circular
skirt sweeping into a chapel train. Her bouffant veil fell from a lace Camelot
headpiece accented with pearl. White and yellow roses, ivy and baby’s breath
made up the bridal bouquet.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Mike (Mary) Bubla, Stevens
Point. Miss Linda Peterson, Appleton, and Miss Judy Brux, Greenwood, were the
bridesmaids. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Chris Boh, Marshfield. Arrangements of
coral carnations, white daisies and baby’s breath harmonized with the
attendants’ A-line gowns of coral organza. Natural flowers were entwined in
their hair.
Sam Dunn, Eau Claire, acted as bestman. Groomsmen were George Wuensch, Hinsdale,
Il., and Daniel Boh, Willard. Mark Brux, Greenwood, was the junior groomsman.
Serving as ushers were William Kokaly, Willard and Edward Brux, Greenwood.
Mrs. Kenneth Horn, Jr., was the soloist.
A wedding dinner was served at the parish center and the parish hall was the
setting for a reception and dance.
A rehearsal dinner was served at the home of the groom’s parents.
The newlyweds are both graduates of Greenwood High School and of the University
of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The bride taught previously in the Rio and Cambria
School Systems.
