Sunday morning, July 10, 1949, a bright, bouncy baby girl named Jane Deuel
arrived by way of the stork at Stanley Memorial Hospital. Seventeen years later
the 5' 4"browneyed, dark auburn haired girl is a senior at Thorp High. Mention
green to Jane and she goes wild. She is still bouncing, except now her
activities are centered around school. Jane has been in G.A.A. for four years;
F.H.A. 1,2,3; Pep Club, 2,3; Homecoming Committee 1,2,4; Jr. Prom Committee; Jr.
Class Paly Production; Jr. Paper staff; Cardinals staff; Jr. Prom Attendant; and
Freshman Sno-Ball attendant. Outs ide of school she occupies her time by driving
"Dumbnesses" car (who?..), having parties at Rock Dam, going to Mile-Away and
going for walks with Nate… Another one of Jane's favorites is eating,
especially, charcoal broiled T-bone steak, friend and raw onions, mushrooms,
cooked carrots and apple dumplings. When you hear "Really!" or "Anyhow", you
know Jane is around. When Jane graduates she plans on going to O'Hare and work
into the airlines. Anyone who calls Jane by her first name (Mary) is on her
black list. Also people who like to take all the credit for doing nothing fit
the list. Jane's advice to underclassmen is: "If you went to make trouble, do it
on your own and don't include others in your mischievous deeds." (by Ann
Wilhelm)
