Greenwood (20 July 1972)

Mt. and Mrs. Leon Kuester and children, Delores and Billy, have returned after an 18-day trip to the west coast. They visited former Greenwood residents, Mrs. Frieda Meyer, Alvin Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. William Abel at Tacoma, Wa, Mr, and Mrs. William Swain at Spokane, Wa, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kirk at Everett, Wa.

Mrs. Harold Blaasch has been dismissed from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville where she was a patient for over three weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stewart and family of Middleton spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Olson and Pam and Tom of Milwaukee spent the week visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson, and his brother, Donald Olson and family of Loyal. Cindy Olson is spending the summer here with her grandparents.

The Rev. and Mrs. Charles Koch of Sheboygan spent from Friday until Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze and visited other friends. The Rev. Mr. Koch was pastor of Immanuel and Zion United churches here from 1952 to 1958.

Gregg and Mark Hoffman of Milwaukee are spending several weeks at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Giles Susa.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Schwarze and son, Steven of Boyceville spent from Sunday until Tuesday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cole of Loyal.

The Rev. Larry Davis will be guest speaker at the Sunday morning service July 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ.

The young adults of Immanuel United Church will have a family picnic at Rock Dam following the worship service Sunday, July 23.

Miss Kathy Schofield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kippenhan, underwent emergency surgery Sunday evening at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

The Wednesday afternoon club met this week at the home of Mrs. Don Warner.

Miss Ritagene Carteron of Skokie, Il, and Mr. and Mrs. Rich Ermilio of River Grove, Il, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron, and attended the Boh-Brux wedding Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and sons of River Falls spent a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.
