Sokolowski, Frank J. (12 OCT 1892 - 9 FEB 1967)
Funeral services were conducted at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp on Monday, Feb. 13
for Frank J. Sokolowski, 74, who passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley, on Thursday, Feb, 9th, 1967, of heart failure. Rev. Edward A.
Masalewicz officiated at the ten a.m. services and burial was in New St.
Hedwig's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Fred Hedler, Adam Lesniewski, Chas. Daniels, Chas. Myrin
Stanley Wilczek and Walter Zurakowski.
Mr. Sokolowski was born Oct. 12, 1892 in Chicago. He was married to Anna Sauer,
Nov. 10, 1914 in Sanborn, N.D. She preceded him in death Feb. 6, 1929.
Surviving are two sons, Stanley of Thorp, Frederick of Milwaukee; five
daughters, (Bertilla) Mrs. Edward Czech, Wausau, (Ethel) Mrs. Robert Rottier,
Phillips, (Irene) Mrs. Harold Didrickson of Milwaukee, (Beatrice) Mrs. Harold
Kuehnast, Anchorage, Alaska, (Lillian) Mrs. Jack Wiley, Milwaukee; one brother,
Leo Sokolowski of Thorp; one sister, Mrs. Leo Dulek of Thorp, and 14
grandchildren. One son, Joseph, preceded him in death also.
