Cheryl Winiarczyk ranked first in a written homemaking knowledge and attitude
test given to senior girls Dec. 6, 1966 and becomes Thorp's 1967 Betty Crocker
Homemaker of Tomorrow, it has been announced. Registered for the test were
581,334 girls in 14,753 of the nation's high schools, a new record for the 13
years the program has been offered by General Mills, its sponsor.
Cheryl will be awarded a specially designed silver charm, and she remains in
contention for state and national scholarship awards ranging from $500 to
$5,000.
