Kara, Pvt. Billy C. (Military Notes - 1972)
Pvt. Billy C. Kara, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kara of Rt. 1, Thorp,
recently completed eight weeks of basic training at the army training Center,
Armor, Ft. Knox, Ky.
He received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, combat
tactics, military courtesy, military justice, first aid and army history and
traditions.
Pvt. Kara received his training with Company D, 8th Battalion, 4th brigade. He
is a 1970 graduate of Thorp High School.
