Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Scidmore Green, Curtiss, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 31, at the Christian missionary alliance church at Curtiss. The Rev. Arnold Woodring will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, until the time of the funeral.
Mrs. Green died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at her home. She was 93 years old.
Born Minnie Scidmore at Milwaukee Dec. 11, 1872, Mrs. Green received her education in Milwaukee schools. Her marriage to Edward Green took place Feb. 22, 1905. Mr. Green died in 1924. Mrs. Green had been a Curtiss resident for the past 52 years. She was the first president of the Curtiss Parent-Teachers association and was active in church and school affairs in the community. She taught Sunday school at her church for many years and was a member of the Congregational church and the Christian missionary alliance church and the associated ladies aid societies. She served as president of the Helping Hand Society.
Surviving are three sons, Robert
Green, La Crosse, Roger, Grand Junction, Colo., and Neil, Curtiss; two
daughters, Mrs. Lee (Eleanor) Smiley, Thorp, and Mrs. Perry (Ruth) Daniels,
