Chester Bunkelman, 69, Milan, died Sunday, April 10, enroute from his home to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Ambrose Blenker officiated, and burial was in the Milan cemetery.
Chester Bunkelman was born April 10, 1897 at Seymour, Wis. His marriage to Tillie Svennen took place Nov. 6, 1916 at Milan. He worked for the Ellingson Lumber Co. at Milan and farmed in the town of Johnson until his retirement in 1959, when he moved into Milan. He had lived there for the past seven years.
Surviving are his wife; eight sons, Wilmer of Stetsonville, Raymond of Chippewa Falls, Harold and Lloyd of Athens, Chester and Gerald of Milan, Bernard of Edgar, and Duane of Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Soard of Covington, Ky.; 43 grand children and four great grand children; two brothers, Elmer Bunkelman of Milan and Vernon of Glen Ellen, Ill., and two sisters Hazel Houlehan of Milan and Dorothy Wilkins of Hammond, Ind.
He was preceded in death by one
sister, Maude Houlehan.
