Funeral services for Edwin Heide, 73, Colby, who died Tuesday, April 24, were held April 28, at the Hansen Chapel, Marshfield.  The Rev. Wesley Dafoe officiated, and burial was in the Colby Memorial cemetery.  Military graveside rites were performed by the Colby VFW.

Pallbearers at the service were William Kluth, Charles Kluth, Ted Walker, Gerald Nelson, Percy Nelson and Tom Hawkins.

William Allen, accompanied at the organ by Maldon Plank, sang “I Need Thee Every Hour” and “Peace, Perfect Peace”.

Attending the services were Mrs. Edwin Heide and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schnelle, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kluth, Mr. and Mrs. William Kluth, Charles Kluth and Mike Kluth, Lansing, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker and Ted Walker, Elmhurst, Ill., Miss Janiie Schnelle, Arlington, Va., Tom Hawkins, Oxon, Md., Mrs. Vincent Kousnik, Manitowoc, Harold Heide, Mrs. Laura Dassler and Mrs. Ervin Smogoleski, Two Rivers, Mrs. William Schiefer, Dayton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Nelson, Arpin; Gerald nelson, Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nelson, Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fox, Pittsville, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schnelle, Fenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Engelbright, Wisconsin Rapids.
