Cadwell, Mary L. (7 March 1948 - 26 June 2014)
Mary L. Cadwell, 66, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday June 26, 2014 at Sacred
Heart Hospital Eau Claire.
She was born March 7, 1948, in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of Dorothy
(Bush) and Robert Oliver. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1966,
and then attended UW-Eau Claire and graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical
College in 1979 from the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She was employed as
an LPN at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, for 32 years, retiring in 2010.
Mary married Edward Cadwell on August 1, 1970, at Trinity United Methodist
Church, and had resided in Chippewa Falls since that time.
Survivors include her husband, Ed; a daughter, Keri (Michael) Hanke of Chippewa
Falls; a son, Robert (Dorothy) Cadwell of Thorp’ seven grandchildren: Tiffani,
Mikkel and Qruystina Hanke, Jacob Dakota, Hunter and Chayanne Carroll; one
great-grandson, Blayne Linhart; adopted brother, Roger (Pat) Morey of Wheeling,
Illinois; also survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Michael Oliver.
A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Trinity
United Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating.
Interment was in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m.,
Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to
the service Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chippewa Falls High School Music Program or
Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals in Mary’s memory would be appreciated.
