Loughead, Janet L. (29 OCT 1933 - 27 JUN 2014)
Janet Lynn Loughead, 80, Two Rivers, died on Friday, June 27, 2014, at the
Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on
Tuesday, July 1, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Robert Sullivan
and Teri Wagner officiated. Cremation took place at All-Care Cremation Center,
Manitowoc, following the services, and Jan's cremated remains will be laid to
rest at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth, at a later date.
Janet Graves was born on Oct. 29, 1933, in Ladysmith, the daughter of Ken and
Bernice (nee Soles) Graves. On Sept. 1, 1956, she married Tom E. Loughead in
Unity. Jan was an active member in Calvary Lutheran Church. She sang in the
church choir and participated in the Quilters Guild. She enjoyed the beautiful
garden she and Tom created with every season’s flowers. She also enjoyed
collecting and trying recipes from different cultures and had a collection of
more than 500 recipes.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tom E. Loughead, Two Rivers; six
children, Tom and Flory Loughead, Oak Harbor, Wash., Gwen (Loughead) Fiecko and
Paul Pendergast, St. Nazianz, Fritz Loughead, Two Rivers, Raymond Loughead,
Aromas, Calif., Allen and Betsy (Galbraith) Loughead, Mishicot, and Janalee
(Loughead) and Mike Busick, De Pere; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter;
three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sue (Graves) Sautner, Spencer, Patricia
(Graves) and Ken Graupner, Beaver Dam, and Ellen (Loughead) and Paul VanZandt,
Leesburg, Fla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fritz and Jane Graves, Ham
Lake, Minn., and Jerry and Nancy Loughead, Parksville, British Columbia; a
brother-in-law, Eldon Bechler, Three Forks, Mont.; and nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Raymond; her parents, Ken
and Bernice Graves; her mother-in-law and father-in-Law: Gladys and Tom
Loughead; two brothers, Spencer Graves and Michael Graves; a brother-in-law,
James Sautner; and a sister-in-law, RaeAnn (Loughead) Bechler.
