Bamburak, Catherine (15 OCT 1880 - 4 MAR 1967)
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel Tuesday, March 7th for Mrs.
Catherine Bamburak, 86, who passed away Saturday, March 4th, 1967 at Victory
Memorial Hospital, Stanley. Father Edward Masalewicz officiated at the ten
o'clock service and burial was in St. Hedwig's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Edward Wynimko, Bruno Wisz, John Holewinski Sr., Stanley
Lawcewicz and two grandsons, Ronald Janicki and Jerome Waninski.
Catherine Sikora was born Oct. 15, 1880 in Poland. She was married to Izador
Bamburak in Hammond, Ind.
They moved to Thorp in 1914. Mr. Bamburak was killed in a train accident in Jan.
1921.
She was a member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Caroline) Janicki and Julia, Chicago, one
sister, Mrs. Ludwig Bialek, Chicago, six grandchildren and one step-daughter,
Mrs. Anna Herbert, Chicago.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by four sons and four daughters,
including a son Joseph, killed in World War II, Oct. 30, 1944.
