On Sept. 6, 1949 a girl with dark brown hair and dark blue eyes had her first
glimpse of the world. This five foot, seven inch senior girl is now seventeen
years old and known as Marie Marek.
She is partial to apples, peaches and the color blue. Marie enjoys listening to
"A Summer Place" and "The Phoenix Theme."
Marie has made herself helpful to the high school in many ways. She was on the
makeup committee for the junior and senior class plays. She has been in the
G.A.A. for three years, the Spanish Club her junior year, and the FHA her
freshman and sophomore years. Marie also worked on the junior paper. In her
spare time, Marie enjoys sewing, reading good books and driving. On thing she
cannot stand is two-faced people.
Marie plans to attend college and work towards a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Marie's advice to underclassmen is to make us of the opportunity to gain an
education.
