Bobb, Mr./Mrs. Arthur (57th - 6 MAR 1967)
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bobb of Thorp observed their 57th wedding anniversary on
Monday, March 6, 1967.
The couple listed hard work, cooperation and understanding as the basis for a
long and happy marriage.
Mr. Bobb said there have been times when he and his wife didn't agree on matters
but they never quarreled.
Mr. Bobb came to Thorp as one of nine children in a group of three families
traveling from Richland County by covered wagon in 1892.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobb have lived in this area since childhood.
The Bobb's made cheese for the Reseburg Cheese Co. for ten years. The couple
farmed in this area since 1919.
They have three living daughters, Mrs. Art (Ruby) McBain, La Crosse; Mrs. Lloyd
(Alice) Peterson and Mrs. Philip (Ardis) Neis, both of Albuquerque, N.M..
Another daughter, Irene, and a son, Kenneth, are deceased. There are ten
grandchildren.
