Mr. Julius Zwolinski was rushed by ambulance to the Marshfield hospital last
Saturday evening. Julius, who has been residing with the Walter Reyzer family
for the past 23 years, suffered a heart attack. A sister and niece arrived
Monday from Montana to be with Mr. Zwolinski during his illness.
Several area students attended the musical festival at Eau Claire last Saturday.
Receiving awards were Gabrielle Reyzer, who place 1st in Class B with a
saxophone solo. Patty Bacza placed 1st in Class C with a flute solo. Shirley
Pawelko – 2nd in Class A. singing, Valerie Kwiesierewicz received two awards,
with a duet and also place 2nd in singing in Class C.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reyzer and Mrs. Mike Lencz visited with Mr. Julius Zwolinski
and Mrs. Olga Knusta at the Marshfield hospital last Sunday.
Funeral services for Leroy Cwikla were held last Monday at St. Stanislaus
Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Lublin Legion stood guard
while Leroy lay at the Thorp Funeral Parlors. The Legion members were
pallbearers and participated in the graveside service. Relatives from Illinois
and Minnesota attended the services.
Highway “F” on the north end of town was flooded this past week, but subsided
within a day.
