Garbisch, Charlotte (6 November 1907 - 18 August 1972)

Funeral services for Mrs. Dan (Charlotte) Garbisch, 64, a native of Granton who resided in the village for the last 28 years, were held Monday, August 21, at 2 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral home was in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Garbisch, who died August 18 in Neillsville.

The former Charlotte Davis was born November 6, 1907, in Granton and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to Daniel Garbisch took place September 29, 1932, at Berlin. The couple lived on a farm in the Town of York until 1944 when they moved to Granton. Mrs. Garbisch was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Mrs. George (Jacquelyn) Gannon of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Jon (Kathleen) Czarnetzki of Davenport, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Ronald Gluch of Neillsville; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Ray Hoeft, Max Opelt, Joe Dachal, Francis Steiner, Norman Braatz and William Morley. The congregation sang “Jesus, Lover of My Soul,” “I know that My Redeemer Lives” and “Forever with the Lord.” Mrs. Lee Garbisch was the organist.
