Turczyn, Mary (Marriage - 19 August 1972)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, was the setting for the 11 a.m.
marriage Saturday of Miss Mary Turczyn and Richard W. Lawson. The Rev. Charles
Brady officiated at the double-ring ceremony of the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Andrew Turczyn, Rt. 2, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Lawson, Rt. 3.
Miss Carol Turczyn was her sister’s maid of honor and Mrs. Christine Moertl,
Middleton, was the bridesmaid.
John Walk was the bestman and John Rychnovsky was groomsman. Ushers were Larry
Keller and Douglas Heimstead.
A buffet luncheon and a reception for 250 people were held at the Wildcat Inn.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lawson were graduated from Neillsville High School. Mrs.
Lawson is a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a
journalism degree and was formerly employed by a Fond du Lac newspaper. Her
husband attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is employed by an Eau Claire construction company.
The couple will live at 150½ E. Madison Street, Eau Claire.
