Castner, John A. (01 Nov 1937 - 22 Jan 1969)
John A. Castner, 31, Loyal, died at 4:30 a.. Wednesday, January 22at St Joseph's
Hospital in Marshfield, due to a cerebral hemorhage.
Services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal on Saturday, January
25, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. N. E. King officiating and burial was made in the
parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Weymiller, Donald Hills, Roy Hartl, Ronald Domine, Darwin
Brasier and Herb Langfeldt.
A Rosary was said Friday evening at The Lyre Funeral Home who were in charge of
all the arrangements.
Mr. Castner was born November 1 1937 at Loyal and he graduated from Loyal High
School in 1955. May 13, 1961 he married Janet Wolf at St. Anthony's Catholic
Church. He was employed at Mike's Standard Station from june 1955 to June 1956
at which time he entered the armed forces . On his return on October of 1959 he
returned to his former employment.
The Loyal Fire Dept. attended this funeral in a body.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Sportsman's Club, Royal
Neighbors of America and a member of the Loyal Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife and six children. Two sons, James 10 and John Jr.1;
four daughters, Connie 6, Carla 5. Cathy 4, and Christine 2; two sisters, Mrs.
Wilfred Wehrman, Loyal and Sr. Helen Castner, Marathon; and his mother, Mrs. Ted
Turk, Stratford.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1964.
