One of the Senior Class' most athletically inclined students is Jim Alberts -
better known as "Chick." Jim has been active in three years of football and
basketball, and four years of baseball, where he has been a starting pitcher
since his sophomore year. Jim was also captain of a basketball intramural team
and one of the highest individual scorers in the intramural program. When Jim is
not practicing in sports or doing homework, he enjoys both hunting and fishing.
Next year Jim plans to go to Wausau Technical School. Thorp and the Senior class
can justifiably be both proud of Jim and sure that he will ably represent Thorp
High in Wausau.
