The Lublin Legion will hold its regular meeting at the club hall Thursday
evening, May 19th, at 8 p.m. Memorial Day activities will be planned. Mr. Ed
Liszewski and Mr. Harry Lencz attended the Legion confab at Minocqua, Wis. last
Sunday.
Mr. John Shewczyk had the misfortune of having his car run down on the ball
diamond while it was parked by the hardware store. This happened Monday morning.
Damages to the bumper had to be righted before he could drive it.
The Tuesday Commercial Bowling team, sponsored by the Bellinger Dairy, took
their wives' to dinner at Sciezor's last Sunday evening.
Mr. Ed Budrus, Mr. Ed Jasinski and Mr. Mike Lencz, members of the village board,
visited the Gilman village last Sunday afternoon to inquire about sewer
disposal.
Mr. Julius Zwolinski left May 12th for Miles, Montana, where he will spend two
weeks visiting with his sister and brother-in-law.
John Lencz has been working on the ball diamond, hoping to get the team in shape
for its first home game, which will be May 29.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Krakowiecki have returned from their Florida trip.
A potato pancake supper will be held Sunday, May 2nd at the Lublin School. The
supper is sponsored by the Boy Scout Troop 146, of which proceeds will go for
the expenditures of operation of the club. Serving will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
