Ace-athlete and all-around Senior boy is Denny Karnopp. Undoubtedly you've read
his name in some newspaper's sport section at one time or another. And since
this is the most obvious facet of his character, her are some details. In
football (his favorite sport), Denny has had a tremendous high school career.
Some of his achievements after 4 years in football include: All-Conference
quarterback his junior and senior years; All-Northwest Team Halfback; Wisconsin
Back-of-the-Week; co-captain of the team; Most Valuable Player for 1965; and he
also reigned as King over the 1965 Homecoming Weekend.
Denny has also lettered for four years in basketball and was selected for the
Tournament team in Wausau this year. He won two letters in baseball and two in
track to round out his high school years with some spring sports. Needless to
say, he has been a member of the Lettermen's Club for four years. Our class also
elected him vice-president for our junior year.
Denny is registered for next fall at La Crosse State University, where he will
major in Physical Education.
