Breseman, Walter (6 June 1899 - 11 September 1972)
Funeral services for Walter Breseman, 73, of Rt. 1 Chili, a native of the Town
of Lynn, are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the
Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. Richard Eggen of Zion American
Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be made in the Sherwood Cemetery.
Mr. Breseman, who died September 11 in Neillsville, was born June 16, 1899, in
the Town of Lynn. His marriage to the former Clara Zagers took place at
Neillsville in 1925. Mrs. Breseman died just three years before her husband, on
September 14, 1968. The couple lived on a farm in the Town of Lynn and for about
20 years, on a farm in the Town of Sherwood. Mr. Breseman spent approximately
the last two years on Rt. 1 Chili.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. D. J. Adams of Granton.
Pallbearers are to be Alfred Moldenhauer, Louie Breseman, Louis Riedel, Wilbert
Wischulke, Leland Bass and Grant Rose. Mrs. Roger Helm will sing “The Old Rugged
Cross” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” with Mrs. Lee Garbisch as
accompanist.
