Aden, Loni Rae (Marriage - 1972)

Baskets of orange gladioli, white mums and baby’s breath decorated St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville for the marriage of Miss Loni Rae Aden and Richard Allan Paquette. The couple exchanged vows Saturday, September 9, at 10 a.m. before the Rev. Charles D. Brady. A reception and dinner for 100 guests followed in the church parlors.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Aden of Rt. 3 Neillsville are the bride’s parents. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Paquette of Neillsville.

For her marriage, the bride chose an empire-style gown of white embossed organza featuring a demure scoop neckline, bishop sleeves, and a ruffle-frame hemline. She carried a colonial bouquet of orange Woburn Abbey roses and baby’s breath as she was given in marriage by her father.

Miss Sherilyn Marty, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bride’s sister Miss Lynnette Aden, was her other attendant. Both wore gowns of orange chiffon styled with bishop sleeves, with bodices of multi-colored embroidered waistbands. Their bow headpieces were fashioned of orange rayon chiffon with nylon tulle veiling of orange, yellow and bronze nosegays that completed their ensembles.

Serving as bestman was Jan Pierce. Jerry Laatch was groomsman. Richard Lynch of Eau Claire and LeRoy Ludovic seated guests.

Mrs. Eugene Ross and Mrs. William Kuchenbecker sang “O Perfect Love” and “Ave Maria.” Mrs. Glenn Short was the accompanist.

The bride attends Neillsville High School and her husband, who is employed in Neillsville, graduated from the same school in 1969. Following their return from a wedding trip to Northwestern Wisconsin, the couple will live in Neillsville.
