------ Wogernese, Bonita (04 JUN 1966)
Miss Bonita Wogernese and Jerome Horacek exchanged marriage promises in a double ring ceremony during a nuptial high mass Saturday, June 4, at St. Thomas Catholic church, Milan, with Rev. Charles Schumacher officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wogernese of Milan and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Horacek of Abbotsford are the parents of the bridal couple.
For their attendants they chose Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Skryzpeak of Edgar as honor couple and Mr. and Mrs. David Wogernese and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ewan, all of Athens. Serving as the junior couple were the sister of the groom, Miss Diane Horacek and brother of the bride, David Wogernese.
Another brother, Dennis Wogernese, and cousin of the groom, Peter Horacek Jr., seated the guests at the church.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a long sleeved gown of lace and nylon tulle with a chapel train. Iridescent sequins and pearls embellished the gown designed with a sabrina neckline and aurora crystals and pearls were used to fashion the two tiered crown that held her bouffant veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses, stephanotis and feathered mums.
The attendants were dressed alike in floor length formals of brocade and crepe over taffeta in shades of powder blue. Long streamers at the back detailed the gowns designed with empire bodices with scoop necklines and elbow length sleeves. Their headpieces of tulle leaves were outlined with seed pearls. They carried bouquets of pink carnations and white mums.
About 300 guests were served a wedding breakfast and supper at the church dining room and attended the reception and wedding dance held at Trianon Ballroom.
On their return from a honeymoon trip to Canada, the new Mr. and Mrs. Horacek will be at home on a farm at route 1, Abbotsford.
Guest at the wedding came from Milwaukee, Wausau, Mosinee, Edgar, Marshfield, Athens, Abbotsford, and Milan.
