Baker, Arthur F. (8 JUN 1889 – 19 JUN 1966)

Arthur Franklin Baker, 77, Rt. 1, Gilman, died Sunday morning at one o'clock while visiting with relatives in Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell.

Mr. Baker was born June 8, 1889 in Boyd, Wis. He was married in 1911 to Marie Filgeau at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huron.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; seven sons, Loyal of Lodi, Ohio; Robert of Sheldon; Lafe of Gilman, William, James and Victor, all of Milwaukee; and Thomas, with the U.S. Air Force in Louisiana; three daughters, Mrs. Oswald (Marjorie) Voegel, and Mrs. Kathryn Blad, both of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Chester (Zoe) Meyers of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; one brother, Elmer of Post Falls, Idaho; 37 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One son, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Baker was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
