Miss Margaret Rose Hilgert, 810 E. Gorham St., Madison, and Wilfred Henry
Erhardt, Orono, Maine, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday, June 11th, 1966 at 10:30
a.m. in St. James Catholic Church, Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hilgert, Rt. 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Joseph Erhardt,
Dowell, Ill., are their parents.
The bride wore a floor-length sheath gown of white linen with a pillbox crown
and an illusion veil. She carried a pale yellow orchid with white carnations and
ivy.
Her aides wore floor-length sheath dresses and headdresses of apricot linen and
carried yellow carnations. Mrs. Bernice Southworth, Madison, was maid of honor,
and Mrs. Gaylord Rybolt, Madison, bridesmaid.
The best man was John Gehl, Madison, and groomsman, Mr. Rybolt. Chester Francis
and Allen Isensee, Madison, ushered.
The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Canada after a dinner at Welch's Embers.
They will live in Orono after June 19.
The bride is a Juen graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Her husband, a
graduate of Sothern Illinois University, received his master's degree from the
University of Nebraska and his Ph.D. degree in soils from the University of
Wisconsin. He is a vegetable extension specialist at the University of Maine.
