Miller, Duane R. (20 FEB 1935 – 22 JUL 2014)
Duane R. "Joe" Miller, 79, Marshfield, died peacefully with family by his side
on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Rembs
Funeral Home where the family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from
4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at Rembs
Funeral Home.
Duane was born on February 20, 1935 in Neillsville, the son of Albert and
Mildred (King) Miller and was a graduate of Neillsville High School. He also
attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was united in marriage to
Dorothy M. Severson on October 8, 1955 in Neillsville.
Joe was employed at Felker Brothers, Manufacturing, Marshfield, for 35 years
until his retirement. He then drove bus for Marshfield Bus.
He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and Cubs and spending time with friends
and family, playing cards and also going to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy and their children, Deb Zimmermann, Diana
Miller and James (Theresa) Miller, all of Marshfield. He is also survived by
grandchildren, Heather Zimmermann, Chad Zimmermann, Amanda Zimmermann and Keisha
Miller, step grandchildren, Jessica Groshek, Jackie (Jake) Vick, and Lee Friedl,
III, and great grandchildren, Dylan, Parker, Mason, Vincent, and Nikalus. He is
further survived by a brother, Albert (Nancy) Miller of Cincinnati, OH, and a
sister, Deloris Gentemann of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Ministry St. Joseph's Hospice and House
of the Dove for their kind and loving care.
