McKuen, Shirley Ann (Marriage - 2 September 1972)
Mr. and Mrs. Gene L. Kolbo, who were married September 2, at Zion United Church
of Christ, in Greenwood are making their home on Andrews Avenue in Greenwood.
The new Mrs. Kolbo is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Vollrath of Rt. 2
Greenwood and her husband is the son of Mrs. Betty Kolbo, also of Greenwood. The
Rev. David Logue officiated at the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at
the home of the bride’s parents.
For her marriage, the former Shirley Ann McKuen chose a lace-flower trimmed,
A-line gown framed by a long veil edged with lace and held by a silver
headpiece. She carried a bouquet of turquoise carnations, white roses and baby’s
breath as she was given in marriage by her father.
Kathy McFarlane, gowned in a dress of fall-hued crepe, was the bride’s honor
attendant. Her flowers were dark purple, blue, turquoise and white carnations
with baby’s breath.
George Hare, Jr., served as bestman. Ushers were Bill Martin and Ronnie Wolf,
both of Loyal. Wedding music was provided by the Zepaltas family.
The bride attends Greenwood High School. The groom graduated from Sparta High
School and is employed by a Neillsville construction firm.
