Keating, Mr./Mrs. Joseph M. (Silver – 25 FEB 1966)

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Keating, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were married 25 years on Feb. 25, 1966. Their twelve children had a High Mass said in their honor on Feb. 26th at St. Bernard's Church in Thorp. Sister Mary Annella played the organ, and Susan, Jean Marie and Mary Jo Keating sang with the St. Bernard's Children's Choir. David Keating and Larry Broeren served and Father Brockman said the Mass. Susan also played the organ during distribution of communion.

An open house was held at the Keating residence on Feb. 26th from 4:00 p.m. till midnight. Mrs. Ted Meyer, Mrs. Ben Burkhardt and Mrs. Frank Wadzinski acted as hostesses. Out ot town guests included Father Crubel, pastor of Holy Rosary Church in Owen, John Thiesen of Loyal Mrs. Charles Zander of Cross Plains, Wis., mother of Mrs. Mary Louise Keating, and Kenneth and Charlene Zander, brother and sister-in-law of Mary Louise, also of Cross Plains, Wis.

Mary Lou and Joe Keating were married at St. Paul's University Chapel in Madison, Wis. On Feb. 25th, 1941. Their first two children, Patricia Ann and Joseph, were born in New York City while Mr. Keating was in service. Terry was born in Milwaukee, and the remaining nine children were all born after the family arrived in Thorp on Nov. 1, 1946. Their names in age sequence are: Kathleen, David, Susan, Mary Jo and Jean Marie (twins), Paul, Claire Ann, Robert and Lorraine.

The Keating wish to extend their sincere thanks to all their friends and neighbors who remembered them in any way on their silver wedding anniversary.
