Mention Minneapolis, Minnesota, her smile becomes even more charming and her
blue eyes begin to mischievously sparkle. Mention anything about sports and she
becomes exuberant. These are the two main interests which surround this on-th-go
senior. On March 2nd Cathie Benzschawel was 18, and with only three months to
the day to go until graduation, she can look back at her busy high school
career. She has been an active member in Spanish Club, Library Club, and Pep
Club. In her sophomore years, she also was a Curtiss Drive captain. Her most
avid interests are centered about GAA, trampoline and tumbling club, forensics,
and especially folk dancers, of which she was captain this past year.
Wis. State University, La Cross, is Cathie's destination after graduation. There
she plans to major in physical education; with her drive and determination, her
dream of someday representing the U.S. in the Olympics may be achieved.
